IODUS is a highly effective yet sustainable and residue free biological fungicide, ideal as part of a resistance management strategy within an IPM programme.
You may already be considering if the disease pressure in winter wheat is high enough to require a chemical fungicide application at T0 timing.
Before you make up your mind on this year’s fungicide strategy, there is a new solution that could help bridge the gap between the earliest timing and the crucial T1 and T2s.
IODUS is a registered fungicide that provides an alternative but highly effective control option against foliar diseases such as Septoria and mildew. It contains the sustainably sourced active ingredient laminarin, which works as a natural elicitor to stimulate the crop’s own natural defence mechanisms ahead of a real pathogen attack.
Whilst a traditional T0 aims to protect only the basal
leaves that have just emerged, IODUS applied at the same T0 timing gives protection
not only to the lower canopy where the product is applied but also continues to
prime the upper leaves against disease including tissues which are yet to
emerge. This reduces the pressure placed
on a T1 and T2 fungicide programme.
