Diflubenzuron DIFLUBENZURON
DIMILIN®2L controls a broad spectrum of yield-robbing insects while going easy on beneficials. It can be used all season, from pre-bloom to late summer, and its strong residual control provides long-lasting protection of almonds, walnuts and stone fruit (excluding cherries) against pests such as peach twig borer, codling moth, Oriental fruit moth, and obliquebanded leafroller.

PESTS | APPLICATION RATE (fl oz/A) |
APPLICATION TIMING |
Lesser cornstalk borer Armyworms such as: Beet armyworm Fall armyworm Southern armyworm Yellowstriped armyworm Redneck peanut worm Soybean looper (suppression) |
4–8 fl oz/A | Optimum Program: Apply at 45, 60 and 90 days after emergence in sufficient water volume for good coverage. Make 3 applications in fungicide sprays for economic savings. |
Velvetbean caterpillar Mexican bean beetle Green cloverworm |
2–4 fl oz/A | Make applications when larvae are small (< 0.5 inches) to give greater control and minimize insect damage to leaves. Repeat application if damaging numbers reappear. |
DIMILIN 2L can be tank mixed with EVITO® Fungicide for added disease protection and higher yields. And when mites hit, the addition of COMITE II® Miticide will optimize your spray program. |
PESTS | APPLICATION RATE (fl oz/A) |
APPLICATION TIMING |
Velvetbean caterpillar Mexican bean beetle Green cloverworm |
2–4 fl oz/A | Make applications when larvae are small (< 0.5 inches) to give greater control and minimize insect damage to leaves. Repeat application if damaging numbers reappear. DIMILIN 2L may be applied at the lower rate (2 fl oz) to prevent velvetbean caterpillar buildup when the vegetative growth of soybeans is completed and as pod formations begins. |
Beet armyworm Fall armyworm Soybean looper (suppression) |
4 fl oz/A | Application must be made when worms are small before populations build. |
Grasshopper | 2 fl oz/A | Apply when the majority of infesting grasshoppers have reached the second or third nymphal stage of development. DIMILIN 2L is not effective in controlling grasshoppers once they reach the adult stage. If a large influx from neighboring fields should occur, the time to reduce the population may not be short enough to minimize extensive foliage feeding; a tank mix with a knockdown insecticide is recommended under these conditions. |
Soybean Yield Enhancement: In the absence of significant insect pressure and under certain growing conditions, an increase in soybean seed yield has been demonstrated with DIMILIN 2L under field conditions with both determinate and indeterminate cultivars. Application of 2 to 4 fl oz per acre to high-yield-potential soybean plants at the R3 to R3.5 growth stage period has been more consistent in increasing yield than applications at other reproductive stages of the soybean plant. This reproductive period represents beginning pod growth (pod 3/16 inch long at one of the uppermost nodes on the main stem with a fully developed leaf) to just prior to full elongation (pod 3/4 inch long at one of the four uppermost nodes on the main stem with a fully developed leaf). DIMILIN 2L can be tank mixed with FORTIX® Fungicide or ZOLERA® FX Fungicide for even greater yield potential. |
PESTS | APPLICATION RATE (fl oz/A) |
