Vacciplant® biofungicide is an innovative collaboration between science and nature, brought to market by UPL. This unique, foliar-applied tank-mix partner bolsters the performance of standard fungicide programs by activating the plant’s natural defense mechanisms against pathogens and abiotic stressors for improved plant health, vigor and yields. 

Vacciplant works by stimulating the plant’s natural defense mechanisms to fight off disease by reinforcing cell walls, stimulating the production of phytoalexins to create a toxic environment for the pathogens, and producing PR proteins, which play a critical role in providing defense in the infected tissue. And because it doesn't directly interact with diseases, risk of developing resistance is low.

Vacciplant biofungicide optimizes plant health to enable top-end yield potential in a wide range of crops. In preliminary trials, adding Vacciplant biofungicide to a standard fungicide program produced an average increase of:

• 6 bu./A in corn when added at the 7 fl. oz./A rate.
• 12 lbs./ton/A average recoverable sugar yield and purity-of- increase in sugar beets at the 14 to 16 fl. oz./A rate.
