Creating better solutions

Beyond our work with trusted post-patent chemistries, our development pipeline includes new and differentiated products based on innovative molecules and active ingredients. We also have dedicated scientists focused on biosolutions that benefit both farmers and the planet. By 2027, we aim to balance our portfolio, with 50% of our products based on existing active ingredients and 50% coming from differentiated or sustainable brands. We’re proud to say that in FY 2024, we achieved an innovation rate of 14%.

From idea to impact

Our journey from concept to field-ready solution begins at our OpenAg® Center in North Carolina. Ideas that show promise move to one of our eight global OpenAg® stations for testing in real-world farming conditions. We conduct more than 9,000 trials each year, focusing on creating solutions that meet specific market needs. This isn't just about testing and data – our R&D experts work closely with regulatory, intellectual property, supply chain and marketing teams to successfully turn promising ideas into practical solutions trusted by farmers worldwide.

Teamwork makes innovation work

Our OpenAg® approach champions working together at every level, internally and with outside partners. Our willingness to collaborate with like-minded organizations to create and deliver solutions that solve farmers' real problems is what makes UPL Corp different. This unique approach gives us the flexibility to analyze, evaluate and adjust quickly throughout the development process. We’re living and breathing our approach, and our vision for the future continues by teaming up with like-minded partners to cut through obstacles, fast-tracking innovation and reimagining sustainability to bring real solutions to farmers when they need them most.

Through every change, one thing remains constant – our unwavering commitment to farmers. We're dedicated to developing complete solutions that not only protect crops and deliver quality harvests but also support sustainable practices that make farming work for the planet.
